Job description

Our client are a large UK consultancy who specialise within Infrastructure. They work within Buildings, Rail, Power and Highways on several national projects. They are one of the most reputable companies in their industry and offer great opportunities with a great package.
 
Our client are currently looking for a Managing Quantity Surveyor to join a growing team growth coming from additional projects and increased spend from their clients. This is working in a buildings team so experience with RIBA stages 1 to 4 would be highly valuable. You will be joining with management experience, leading projects and managing teams & ensuring all work is covered by Senior QS, Quantity Surveyors and graduates. You will be responsible for increasing the relationship with the clients you are assigned and leading on several projects.
 
The right candidate will be offered a salary of £60,000, Bonus up to £3,000, plus a great benefits package including 25 days holiday (+ bank holidays), Life insurance, BUPA and up to a 10% company pension contribution. The role is based out of Leeds but you can also work from Sheffield, Manchester, Hull, Newcastle or Liverpool. It's a hybrid based role with 2 days working from the office required. You will get to work on multi-million pound projects, covering a broad range of developments in areas such as Social & Affordable Residence, Private & Public Sector Commercial and Corporate Residential.
 
 
Responsibilities:
 
·To deliver & lead the previsions of Cost Management, Quantity Surveying and Employment costing on a wide range of works
·Pre and post commercial project management & report writing
·Client cost report preparation, delivery & completion
·Manage the team
·Be aware and factor in project costs outside of the direct construction
·Build client relations & develop business
·Generate repeat business from quality of work and communication
·Experience in a wide range of builds
·Knowledge of JCT & NEC
·Communicate with Customers, the team and the wider business
·Coaching & Managing project teams
 
Requirements:
·Extensive experience with either Private and/or Public Sector Clients
·BSc in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent)
·MRICS accreditation or similar (Desirable)
·Management experience for 2+ years
·5 years experience with a professional consultancy
·Good MS Office experience
·IT skills such as BIM / CAD & Cost Planning software
