Job description

My client is a large utilities contractor with a great reputation in the water industry. They have a sustainable opportunity in the local area. Currently, they are looking for experienced Leakage Technicians with experience of training to work on a long term project.
 
The ideal of the leakage trainer is to work alongside the leakage staff and work with the operations manager to ensure best practise is kept to within water leakage. This means you will be training and mentoring the leakage engineers and assisting in unusual projects to ensure performance targets are met and ensure a reduction in water leakage for the client.
 
This role is to work 3 weeks a month in Northern Ireland and one week in the Republic of Ireland
 
Responsibilities:
·Ensure Health & Safety is met and maintained to company and client policies
·Assess all leakage members of staff
·Undertake BEST observations
·Give training to all staff and complete individual training plans
·Ensure KPI's are met
·Go to client meeting s if required
·Trial new equipment and technology
·Work closely with the under performing staff to develop them
 
Skills & Attributes:
·A track record of training and classroom delivery
·Excellent knowledge of leakage monitoring
·A good understanding of computer software packages such as MS Office & GIS
·Knowledge and experience of Water Network Hydraulics, Leakage Detection Techniques and water monitoring
·Excellent communication skills and ability to improve peoples performance
·Ability to learn new theories and techniques quickly to take out on site and teach
·4-6 years experience in a similar role
 
 
You will be provided with a company van, fuel card, tools and PPE.
