Job Title: Lead Officer (Housing Management & Co-ordination)
Location: Rugby (Hybrid Working)
Contract: 3 Months (Potential Extension)
Start Date: ASAP
Rate: £28 per hour (Umbrella, Inside IR35)

Overview:
Rugby Borough Council is seeking an experienced and proactive Lead Officer to join its Housing Services team on an initial three-month contract, with the potential for extension. This is an opportunity to play a key role in leading a team of Housing Officers and ensuring the effective delivery of high-quality, legally compliant housing services across the borough. The role offers hybrid working and a competitive hourly rate.
Key Responsibilities:
·Supervise and support Housing Officers, ensuring effective case management and service delivery
·Oversee complex tenancy enforcement, including high-risk antisocial behaviour cases
·Promote tenancy sustainment through tenant engagement and support
·Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to provide coordinated services
·Investigate tenancy breaches and respond to housing-related complaints
·Maintain accurate case records and contribute to service improvement through performance monitoring
·Install and monitor noise recording equipment, ensure accurate case documentation, prepare detailed reports, and contribute to service improvements through performance data analysis.
Candidate Requirements:
·Significant experience in housing management, including staff supervision
·Strong knowledge of housing law, tenancy enforcement, and antisocial behaviour legislation
·Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach to service delivery
·Proven ability to work effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders
