My client is currently seeking an experienced Pipe Lagger to join their team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work with a well-established contractor delivering high-quality insulation and protection works across mechanical systems and pipework installations.
Key Responsibilities:
·Fitting insulation materials around pipework, ducting, and associated systems to minimise heat loss and improve energy efficiency.
·Carrying out pipe wrapping using various materials, including foil-faced wraps, glass cloth, and vapour barrier systems, to ensure long-term protection and compliance with site specifications.
·Applying finishes such as aluminium or sheet metal cladding over insulated pipework.
·Measuring, cutting, and shaping insulation and wrap materials to fit precisely, following technical drawings and insulation schedules.
·Collaborating with other trades on-site to coordinate works and ensure smooth delivery.
·Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations and site standards.
·Maintaining tools, equipment, and a tidy working area throughout the project.
Requirements:
·Proven experience in a Pipe Lagger or Thermal Insulator role.
·Solid knowledge of insulation techniques, materials, and pipe wrapping methods.
·Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
·Valid CSCS card - essential.
·Additional training such as Asbestos Awareness, Working at Height, or Manual Handling is advantageous.
·Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious with a proactive approach to work.
·Own PPE and basic hand tools preferred.
