Job description

Due to expanding workload an opportunity for a Structural CAD Technician has arisen to work within an experienced and supportive team.
 
About the company
 
The company have been servicing their extensive client base for over 40 years, establishing their multidisciplinary engineering services in the UK. Covering a variety of buildings and infrastructure sectors, they are looking to appoint an experienced Director to complement their structural design team within their buildings division.
 
 
You will be working on a variety of projects large and small across most sectors including commercial, R&D, energy and residential and continue delivering exciting and interesting projects across the industry.


Responsibilities


·Production of accurate technical engineering drawings, working in Revit and AutoCAD
·Liaison with Engineers, Architects, the Design team, and Contractors
·Assist and carry out structural designs in steel, concrete, masonry, and timber.
·Attend technical meetings with the external design team.
·Assistance with project running, site surveys and inspections.
·Exploration of new/innovative practices that will benefit the design team/design process.
·Develop skills with a view to attending meetings and liaising with architects, clients, subcontractors, and other professionals whilst carrying out duties and at all times represent the business, in a professional and courteous way.
 
Key skills & experience


·Some experience in technical drawing production using AutoCAD and Revit is a bonus
·Interest and passion for all aspects of Structural Engineering and how ideas become a reality.
·Self- motivated team player with excellent people skills.
·An ability to speak clearly, confidently, professionally, and convincingly on the telephone
·An ability to write clear and concise e-mails, letters and reports, and a pride in delivering quality work.
·An ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
