Key Responsibilities
·Work as part of a design team to produce detailed electrical designs, calculations and documentation for a wide range of projects.
·Assist senior engineers with outline design schemes and check technical documents to ensure accuracy and compliance.
·Undertake site visits during construction to monitor progress and contribute to buildable, coordinated solutions across disciplines.
·Advise clients and architects on energy use, conservation and carbon reduction, supporting environmental objectives.
·Liaise with Statutory Authorities for new connections and upgrades, preparing applications and technical submissions.
·Manage elements of project delivery including design supervision, costing, programme and quality administration.
·Contribute to developing and maintaining internal standards, QA procedures and continuous improvement.
What We're Looking For
·Proficiency in electrical design principles with the ability to exercise independent technical judgement and apply relevant Standards, Codes of Practice and Regulations.
·Competence with CAD, awareness of BIM workflows and the ability to translate requirements to CAD technicians.
·Experience using power design software such as Amtech and lighting design tools such as Relux or Dialux.
·Organised, proactive approach with sound time management, cost awareness and the initiative to work with minimal supervision.
·Desire to keep developing professionally, staying current with regulations, energy efficiency and best practice.
