Job description

You will be working within my clients Civil Engineering team working on a variety of projects. You will be contributing to the drawing and modelling input on civil engineering designs on roads, drainage and infrastructure on projects ranging from £1M to £300M and work alongside the senior team members.
 
You will be based in their vibrant and friendly office in London's Butlers Wharf. As a company, they design all elements of drainage, roads and structure working with the country's top contractors and developers.

You will report on a day to day basis to senior members of the team and overall to the Directors within the  Civil Engineering department. You will be responsible for the design input on a number of projects and assisting with the implementation of office standards.
 
On larger projects you will be leading on coordination matters and attending coordination workshops to coordinate with the wider design team. As the team develops and uses new technology and software such as Infraworks and Navisworks you will be at the forefront of the implementation throughout the Civil Engineering team and wider company.
 
There will be opportunities for you to take on small projects and be responsible for their delivery and managing the modelling technicians. You will have experience designing drainage and roads on development infrastructure projects such as housing estates and inner city mixed used developments and be familiar with liaising and coordinating with numerous parties.
 
Some management experience would be useful but not essential as this role would suit someone looking to move into a more management role and further their career.
 
You will have a good sound background in engineering principles (hydraulics, flood risk and pavement design), with UK experience, and experience using Microdrainage.
 
You will have excellent experience in the use of:
 
·Microdrainage/ Windows
·AutoCAD
·Civils 3D (desirable)
 
Experience of the following computer packages would be a distinct advantage, but not essential:
 
·Autodesk Infraworks
·Navisworks
·PDS
·PDS Signs and Line
 
Preference will be given to candidates who are degree qualified with a MEng in Civil Engineering suitable for CEng status, but consideration will be given to candidates with an engineering related degree if they have relevant post-graduate experience.
 
The company have a ICE Accredited training scheme and you will be encouraged to progress to Institutional membership.
