Job description

Are you an experience Infrastructure Engineer looking for an interesting new challenge? If so you may want to join an award-winning firm of Consulting Engineers based in Sheffield.
My client has been providing professional quality services in all areas of construction across the country since 1972. The 90+ strong staff team is based at office in Sheffield and have a new office in Winchester.  
The ideal candidate for this role will possess general infrastructure design experience at different levels but in particular residential infrastructure design, including drainage and highway design to adoptable standards (S38, S278 and S104 and S206).

Academic Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelors or Master's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (or Equivalent) and be Chartered or working towards with the ICE (Institute of Civil Engineers).
Key Job Responsibilities:
·Designing and preparing drawings for surface water, sewer networks and external ground levels in the residential and commercial sectors.
·Designing and preparing highway designs including vertical and horizontal geometry. Highways and Drainage design experience (S278, 38, 104).
·The ability to operate specialist software for drainage and infrastructure design including AutoCAD, PDS, and Microdrainage/Windes.
·Prepare technical schedules.
·Represent Eastwood and Partners at meetings with the client, other professionals and suppliers when required.
·Ensure project work is carried out within agreed deadlines and within budget.
·Ensure that appropriate service/design decisions are met.
·Communicate with Directors on relevant service/design decisions and the objectives of the company and the client are achieved.
·Coordinating his/her work with other members of the project team and ensuring all relevant staff are informed of client matters
·Mentor and assist Graduate Engineers where required.
·A commitment to CPD and self-learning / development.
·Actively work towards Chartered Engineering status (where applicable).
·Good IT skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint, AutoCAD
