IMS / Quality Manager - Part time
£40,000-£55,000
Bristol, London or Exeter
Part time - 20 to 22.5 hours per week
Summary of role:
This is a critical role, responsible for ensuring the company maintains relevant accreditations (ISO9001, 14001, 9650 and RISQS). You will work closely with theHealth and Safety/Rail Director to ensure that the company's integrated management systems (IMS) are promoted, managed and continuously improved across all engineering disciplines and support services.
The role will help drive improvement in the business performance by ensuring through promotion of our quality systems that our services are right first time, on time, meet client expectations and are within the agreed scope.
Job Duties:
Key duties will include:
·Undertaking internal audits, producing reports and providing feedback to senior
·management to ensure ISO-accredited integrated management systems are effectively implemented and monitored
·Identifying opportunities and implementing changes to integrated management systems to drive continuous improvement
·Preparing for, attending and supporting external audits
·Maintaining internal manuals, operating procedures and policies by maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and company requirements
·To provide training to all staff regarding quality systems - ensuring they are equipped with the skills to drive improvements in quality performance
·To assist in maintaining client feedback - providing feedback to senior management and investigating non-conformities where necessary
Our ideal candidate will have:
·Significant experience in quality management
·Extensive experience in a similar role in maintaining and developing quality
·management systems
·Experience in conducting audits and writing reports / recommendations
·Knowledge of ISO14001,9001 and 19650
·Excellent communication and influencing skills - able to promote IMS and continuous improvement
·Autonomy to manage their own diary and robust organisation skills
Certification or obtained training as an Internal or External Auditor through a certified Training Provider and membership of the Chartered Quality Institute is desirable but not essential.
Hours and days of work are flexible, but we expect to equate to a minimum of 20 hours per week. Any candidate who applies can ask about the flexibility in working pattern and we will explore what's possible for the role. Amount of time spent in the office may vary according to annual audit and training requirements.
