Job description


We currently have an excellent opportunity working for a leading utilities contractor as a HR Business Partner covering West and East Midlands areas.
 
The ideal person will be accountable for delivering the HR operational plans for the areas they support including providing HR advice and guidance to all partners, managers, and employees.
 
You will be working with managers to support them and identify and attract future talent.
 
 
Duties and Responsibilities
 
·Own the employee life cycle and key People practices for areas such as onboarding, workforce planning, reward and recognition, career progression, engagement survey action planning
 
·Devise, agree and ensure delivery of an operational people plan, aligned to the HR strategy.
·Provide insight and credible advice on HR issues, demonstrating and providing a challenging and robust view to deliver true business value.
·Establish and maintain effective influencing relationships with line managers to ensure HR support is aligned to business needs and provide appropriate advice and guidance
·Work with leaders to identify and develop their talent and ensure we create as many career defining experiences for all our people e.g. learning resources, peer to peer learning, mentoring, job shadowing, projects etc.
·Deliver HR activities as appropriate for any merger, acquisition, JV and lateral hire activities to ensure effective integration of new people
·Provide development for managers on how to facilitate team reviews, setting goals and measuring results and how to have regular and human conversations
 
Required Skills and Experience:
 
·Demonstrated success leading talent management, organizational development, effectiveness and/or change management initiatives
·Proven ability to provide strategic advice, develop options, analyse risks, make good judgements and solve problems.
·Ability to work collaboratively on teams as well as influence and coach effectively and independently with all levels in the organization
·Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment and flexible in adapting and responding to changing situations
·Knowledge of all legal and regulatory requirements
