Site Engineer - Civil Engineering
Up to £40,000 per annum (salary dependent on experience)
Are you an ambitious Site Engineer looking to develop your career on major civil engineering and infrastructure projects? My client is seeking a motivated Site Engineer to join their growing civil engineering team and support the successful delivery of large-scale infrastructure schemes.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Site Engineer to join a highly respected Tier One contractor and gain exposure to complex highways and civil engineering projects. As a Site Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, accurately and in line with programme requirements.

My client is a well-established and highly regarded Tier One contractor with a heritage spanning over 200 years, delivering high-quality infrastructure, civil engineering and construction projects across the UK.
Joining their Civil Engineering division, you will work alongside experienced project teams delivering major infrastructure schemes that provide long-term benefits for communities, transport networks and regional economies.
This role offers excellent exposure to technically challenging projects and the opportunity to work with experienced engineers and project leaders.
What you will be doing
As Site Engineer, you will support the engineering and delivery teams to ensure construction works are delivered to specification and programme.
You will be doing the following:
·Setting out and surveying works on site in accordance with project drawings and specifications
·Supporting the planning and coordination of site activities
·Ensuring construction works meet design specifications and quality standards
·Assisting with the preparation of method statements and risk assessments
·Monitoring and reporting on project progress and site activities
·Maintaining accurate site records, drawings and documentation
·Supporting the management of subcontractors and site operatives
·Assisting with quality assurance checks and inspections
·Liaising with project teams, designers and site management
·Ensuring compliance with health, safety and environmental standards
Skills and experience you will need
To succeed as Site Engineer, you will bring a strong technical background and the ability to work collaboratively within a busy project environment.
You will ideally have:
·A degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
·Experience working as a Site Engineer or in a similar engineering role within civil engineering or infrastructure
·Good understanding of construction methods and engineering principles
·Experience with setting out and surveying equipment
·Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
·Ability to communicate effectively with site teams and project stakeholders
·A proactive and collaborative approach to project delivery
·A full UK driving licence
