Job description

What we need:
Carrington West are currently seeking a highly skilled and qualified Electrical Appointed Person to assist with technology installation works on part of the National Highways network. As this is a temporary position,  we are ideally seeking applicants with previous experience within this environment. This is a freelance position and Limited companies will be considered, subject to SDS determination.

 
What you will do:
1. Project Coordination: Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to coordinate and oversee the electrical aspects of technology installations on motorways.
 
2. Safety Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to safety standards and regulations, acting as a safety champion to maintain a secure working environment for all team members involved in the installation works.
 
3. Risk Assessment: Conduct thorough risk assessments, identifying potential hazards and implementing effective control measures to mitigate risks associated with electrical works on motorways.
 
4. Technical Expertise: Apply your technical expertise to assess, troubleshoot, and resolve electrical issues during the installation process, ensuring the successful deployment of technology systems.
 
5. Team Leadership: Lead and support a team of skilled technicians, providing guidance and supervision to ensure the efficient and effective completion of installation tasks.
 
What you will need:
1. Electrical Qualifications: Possess relevant electrical qualifications, including being a certified Electrical Appointed Person.
 
2. Experience: Demonstrable experience in overseeing electrical works in a construction or technology installation environment, particularly on motorway projects.
 
3. Knowledge: A strong understanding of motorway technology installations, including but not limited to lighting systems, traffic management systems, and electronic signage.
 
4. Safety Focus: Proven commitment to safety standards, with a track record of implementing and enforcing safety protocols in a dynamic working environment.
 
5. Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively liaise with team members, clients, and other stakeholders.
