An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Bridges / Highway Structures Engineer with experience in Design to join a client in Oxfordshire. Your main duties include checking structural designs on major highway projects, monitoring the quality of work carried out by chosen design consultants and reviewing, signing off and approving design standards for highway structures.
 
This is a full-time contract position. The rate on offer is £40 - £45 per hour - negotiable for the right candidate. Flexible working arrangements are available.
 
Key responsibilities:
·Checking structural designs on major highway projects
·Planning and implementing programmes of general and principal inspections
·Monitoring the quality of work carried out by the chosen design consultants
·Reviewing and approving designs for highway structures
