Highway Engineer
 
Are you an experienced Highway Engineer looking for a new role?
 
The Highway Engineer will join a team that is responsible for concept/options/preliminary designs and cost estimates, preliminary and detailed designs drawings of a wide range of urban transport infrastructure projects including bus priority measures, cycle facilities, junction designs and public realm improvements in a busy urban highway environment.
 
·Significant experience in the design of urban highway and traffic schemes in accordance with DMRB, Manual for Streets, TSRGD, LTN1/20 and other applicable standards.
·Experienced and proficient in the use of AutoCAD Map 3D or Civil 3D and other associated design applications.
·Experienced of in the preparation of bills of quantities from schedule of rates and a working knowledge of the Manual of Contract Documents for Highway Works (MCHW) Volume 1 Specification for Highway Works and Volume 4 Bills of Quantities for Highway Works.
·Experience of acting as Designer under the Construction Design and Management regulations 2015 including the preparation of Pre-construction Information, Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
·New Engineering Contract (NEC) accredited Project Manager and/or Supervisor with experience of managing and/or supervising NEC Type B Engineering & Construction Contracts.
