Role: HGV class 2 Driver Operator
Salary: £10-12 p/h ( based on experience ) = £20,800 - £24,800 + Overtime ( £2,000 upwards per year)

My client has a vacancy for a Class 2 HGV driver / operator to join their expanding team due to new projects wins.  The position of HGV Driver /  operator will be based driving  Jet vac combi, Recyclers,  Tankers HGV as part of a two person team.
 
The role is based working from a Depot which is based in Bridgend and you will start and finish your day from this site.
 
In this position you will be working as part of a large team who are attached to proactive and reactive drainage schemes for the water utility companies such as Welsh Water.
 
Key responsibilities will include:
 
Driving Class 2 vehicles such as Jet / Vac Combi , CityFlex  7.5 &10 ton units or recycler units
Blockage location on drains and sewers
Deblocking and clearing of drainage
 
 
Candidates will ideally have a background in the drainage sector but this is not essential as full training is available which includes confided space training, 1st aid, HPWJ - High pressure water jetting  
 
It is essential that candidates have a HGV class 2 license and be willing to operate in a hands on capacity as the role will include driving and operating the  equipment on the vehicle.
 
It would he advantageous but not essential to have any of the below:
- Water or drainage sector experience
- Confined space training certificate
- CSCS card
- RASWA certificate
- HPWJ  Safety awareness certificate
 
You will need to travel to the depot to collect your company vehicle and drop it off at the depot at the end of your shift.  You will be contacted to work 40 hours a week and there is overtime available which is paid at X1.5 time for any nights or weekend work.
 
Drivers / operators will be required to work 40 hours per week from Monday - Friday , there is regular overtime available with is totally optional and people in this role typically clock up 45 hours per week.
 
On offer is a starting hourly rate of £10.00 per hour, please note if you have drainage experience rates of up to £12.000 are available.  
 
This is the equivalent of £20,800 - £24,800 dependant on experience  + overtime which is paid between at X  1 - X 1.5 time.
