Job Title: Health and Safety Advisor
Location: West Cumbria
Rate: Competitive, dependent on experience
Start Date: ASAP
We are seeking a Health and Safety Advisor to join our team and work on highway works, resurfacing, and maintenance projects in West Cumbria. The ideal candidate will have a CSCS White Card and Chartered IOSH or similar qualifications. This role is for 3 days per week work on a long term, contract basis.
Responsibilities:
·Develop, implement and monitor health and safety policies and procedures for highway works, resurfacing and maintenance projects
·Carry out site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
·Investigate and report on accidents and incidents, providing recommendations for improvement
·Provide health and safety advice and support to project teams and contractors
·Assist in the development of risk assessments and method statements
·Conduct health and safety training and toolbox talks
Requirements:
·CSCS White Card
·Chartered IOSH or similar qualification
·Previous experience in a health and safety role within the construction industry, particularly with highway works, resurfacing, and maintenance projects
·Knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation and regulations
·Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
·Strong attention to detail
·Ability to work independently and as part of a team
