Position Overview:
As a Graduate Quality Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of our large highways project. You will work closely with the Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) teams, gaining hands-on experience and contributing to the implementation of robust quality management practices throughout the project's lifecycle.
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
Quality Inspections and Testing: Conduct regular inspections and tests on construction materials, components, and finished works in compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and quality management plans.
 
Document Control: Maintain accurate records of inspection and testing activities, including test reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), corrective actions, and other relevant documentation.
 
Quality Audits: Participate in internal and external quality audits to verify compliance with established procedures and regulatory requirements.
 
Process Improvement: Collaborate with senior quality engineers and project managers to identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in quality assurance and control procedures.
 
Non-Conformance Management: Assist in identifying, documenting, and managing non-conforming work items and support the development and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
 
Materials Management: Ensure that construction materials used in the project meet required standards and specifications by coordinating with suppliers and conducting material inspections.
 
Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance: Adhere to company health, safety, and environmental policies and guidelines, actively promoting a safe working environment.
 
Quality Training: Participate in training sessions to enhance knowledge and skills related to quality management, construction practices, and relevant industry standards.
 
Collaboration: Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, contractors, and stakeholders, to achieve project quality objectives.
 
Requirements:
 
·Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field with a focus on quality management.
·Certifications: Professional certifications in quality management, such as Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), would be advantageous but not mandatory.
 
·Technical Skills: Familiarity with construction materials and testing procedures, knowledge of quality management systems and tools, and proficiency in using relevant software for data management and analysis.
 
·Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to convey technical information effectively.
 
·Analytical Thinking: Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically to identify and address quality-related issues.
 
·Team Player: Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
