Job description

Purpose
My client has an immediate vacancy in their Nottingham City Centre office to work within their experienced civil engineering design team.
 
Responsibilities
The Civil Engineering Graduate Vacancy role will involve the design and drafting of SuDS schemes, private externals works, Section 38 and Section 104 works for adoption.
The role will also include the design and drafting of civil engineering works for a variety of sectors that will include retail, leisure, commercial, general industrial, storage and distribution, hotels, institutions, residential, venues/health and fitness.
Experience
A logical analytical approach to problem solving should be demonstrated.
The successful candidate will be qualified as noted above, computer literate, being fully competent in the use of Word and Excel.
Specific experience in the use of AutoCAD for technical drawing will ideally be demonstrated at interview. Experience in the use of Microdrainage and PDS would be advantageous.
Education
The Civil Engineering Graduate Vacancy role would suit a BSc/BEng (Hons) qualified civil engineering graduate who is either newly qualified or has some relevant experience within the industry.
The successful candidate will be given on the job training to develop their skills and they will work closely with the other members of the civil engineering team.
The company operate an ICE registered graduate training scheme which will be open to the successful candidate.
Client care is of paramount importance to them and the successful candidate will be an able communicator, both in written English and verbally, in person and on the telephone.
Knowledge of the CDM Regulations and construction industry health and safety is essential.
