My client requires graduate engineers, with up to five years' experience to join their busy main Hertfordshire office. The role will involve site supervision of ground investigations, along with report writing and geotechnical analysis, together with scoping and pricing new work and liaison with clients.
They carry out ground investigations and geotechnical assessments, as well as having a strong contaminated land capability. The company only provide interpretive reports, so are looking for engineers who are comfortable being on site and organising crews, as well as completing basement impact assessments, foundation design and ground movement analysis. Experience of geotechnical assessments and numerical modelling would be useful.
A first degree or MSc in engineering geology will probably be required to provide the requisite technical background for this role.
They are a friendly team of engineers and administrative staff, based in a lovely converted Grade II listed barn in a rural location next to a nature reserve. They hold regular quarterly office meetings with other offices where they meet for lunch and share best practice ideas. There are also regular social events.
The company recognizes the importance of balancing work with family life, and support working from home two days a week following an initial employment period.
They are committed to building a safe, happy and healthy working environment and promote this through free Mental Health Workshops and MOT's delivered from a professional Mental Health First Aider and a Wellbeing Life Coach. They also offer Gym / yoga / other exercise membership paid to the value of £60 pcm, you have the flexibility to choose. A fresh fruit basket is delivered weekly and you also have the option to take advantage of the Cycle to work scheme.
The company encourages continual learning and development to build on an individuals skills and strengths. This includes regular seminars from professionals within the industry, training courses and mentoring to chartered status. They fund all professional memberships and society events.
