Are you a recent Graduate looking for a new opportunity in Bristol? My client have an extremely exciting opportunity for a Graduate Civil Engineer to join the expanding Structural & Civil Engineering team in Bristol.

As a Graduate Civil Engineer, you will have the opportunity to practise many fields of Civil Engineering. Based within the newly located central Bristol office, you will be able to develop and collaborate alongside many other experts within the multi-disciplinary team.

You will be responsible for providing a wide range of Civil Engineering services and will be expected to work independently, although under the direction and mentoring, and with the support of the Team Manager.

Responsibilities:
·Report to and take direction from the Partner/Associate leading the Civil and Structural Engineering Team.
·Undertake outline, scheme and detailed engineering designs as appropriate on projects.
·Produce fully coordinated Civil Engineering designs, including drainage and external works.
·Ensure calculation packages, drawings, specifications, reports and other deliverables for projects are to expected quality standards prior to issue.
·Prepare reports and general correspondence as required in connection with projects.
·Undertake survey inspections and produce written reports on findings, set out in a logical manner with appropriate recommendations.
·Liaise with other members of the design and construction teams, both internal and external, representing the Civil and Structural Engineering Team.
·Assist in preparing design programmes for production deliverables.
·Liaise with the design team and client throughout the project and monitor progress and quality during the construction phase.
·Visiting sites during the construction phase to monitor progress and provide advice to contractors.
·Ensure that company document management and QA procedures are complied with. 
·When required assist other members and disciplines of the team to complete tasks particularly in relation to meeting project deadlines.
 
Qualifications:
·Ideally MEng (Hons) First Degree in Civil Engineering at grade 2:1 or above.
·Experience using both AutoCAD and Civils 3D software packages would be desirable.
·Experience of working knowledge of drainage design software (MicroDrainage or InfoDrainage) would be desirable.
·Experience in the use of document editing software including Bluebeam Revu would be desirable.
·Excellent communication skills, in both written and spoken English.
·Hold a current UK driving licence.
·Collaborative team player who is also able to work with minimal supervision and use own initiative.
·Personable and confident.
