Graduate - Graduate Asbestos / Environmental Consultant

My client is a leading multi disciplinary Scientific Consultancy who have a vacancy for an Graduate Asbestos / Environmental Consultant to join their rail team in North West London near Wembley.
 
The clients office is in NW10 and they will only accept applicants that live in NW, UB, EN, WD, HA, W postcodes. Driving licence is essential as company vehicle will be supplied
 
This is a Monday - Friday day based role and weekend work will be required 1 in 4 weekend and will be paid at a time and a third. After the first 3 months you will then be required to work nights if needed.
 
In this role you will be approximately 70% site based and 30% office based.  Where you undertaking a range of environmental site tests which will be such as the below: Please note site activities will be asbestos air monitoring focused but you will also cover the below:
 
Asbestos air monitoring
Water Sampling and Analysis
Microbiological and trade effluent assessment
Legionella  risk assessment
Air and Dust testing / monitoring  - EG Dust, sludge and soil
Asbestos
Geotechnical Ground investigations - Load bearing tests
 
 
In this role you will be expected to work in both an individual capacity and as part of a team, where you will be reporting into an Environmental Manager
 
Key aspects of the role will be:
 
Performing on site analysis, testing and site investigation
Liaising with clients on progress and project delivery
Sample analysis
Writing reports from the site results
 
 
 
Candidates must have:
 
·A formal qualification of which a degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Geology or similar
·Some sort of environmental sampling experience - This could be as part of a university project or in a professional environment such as ground investigation, water testing / sampling, air or dust monitoring alternative any form of site based sampling would be suitable
·Full drivers license
·Live in NW, UB, EN, WD, HA, W postcodes
 
 
On offer is a starting pay of £22,000 + benefits + bonus
In addition to this overtime is available
 
Please note this is a full time permanent position and it is essential to hold a valid UK Drivers license.
