Our client is looking a Geotechnical / Geo-Environmental Engineer to join their team in Bristol.
 
Responsibilities: 
·Undertaking Preliminary Risk Assessments (Phase 1 Desk Studies) and intrusive site investigations for environmental and/or geotechnical purposes in line with national standards and codes of practice. 
·Undertaking ground investigation for geotechnical purposes 
·Undertaking fieldwork activities  
·Undertaking Project Management duties and resolving any technical issues 
·Writing factual and / or interpretative reports 
·Preparing health and safety documentation, booking subcontractors and scheduling soil and water samples for analytical and geotechnical testing 
·Preparing and assisting with interpretative reports for geotechnical purposes 
·Working with geotechnical databases and other geotechnical software 
 
Requirements 
·BSc degree level qualified in Geology or a related subject essential 
·MSc in Engineering Geology/Geotechnical Engineering or Contaminated Land related subjects preferable but not essential 
·Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
·Prepared to work as part of a team or as an individual 
·Candidates must be willing to spend a significant amount of their working day out on site. 
·Computer literate (MS Office); 
·Self-starter with attention to detail; 
·Highly motivated and willing to innovate; 
·Problem Solving; 
·Working to deadlines; 
·Full UK driving licence.
