Job Description:
As a General Foreman on the transformative landscaping project, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the implementation of innovative green spaces, lighting, and infrastructure enhancements. This project aims to create vibrant, welcoming outdoor areas by introducing pocket parks, rainwater management features, and upgrading the large events area near Leopold Street.
 
Responsibilities:
 
·Lead the on-site execution of landscaping initiatives, ensuring adherence to project specifications, timelines, and quality standards.
 
·Supervise and coordinate the work of subcontractors, tradesmen, and laborers involved in the landscaping and infrastructure installation processes.
 
·Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure the delivery of high-quality landscaping, green planting, and lighting features as per project guidelines.
 
·Prioritise and enforce safety protocols on-site, ensuring a secure working environment for all team members and adhering to health and safety regulations.
 
·Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth communication and coordination between different aspects of the project.
 
·Innovation Implementation: Oversee the installation of innovative features, including 'buried bins' for waste management and automated bollard systems for controlled access.
 
Requirements:
 
Proven experience in a leadership role within landscaping or Highways construction projects.
 
Knowledge of Highways principles, green infrastructure, and environmental considerations.
 
Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
 
Familiarity with health and safety regulations and a commitment to ensuring a safe working environment.
 
Ability to interpret project plans, specifications, and drawings.
 
Previous experience with innovative landscaping techniques and infrastructure installations is advantageous.
