Fire Door Carpenter/Joiner – Contract Role

Location: London Borough of Camden
Contract Duration: 6 months – 1 year
Hours: 36 per week
Rate: £27.45 per hour
Vehicle: Van provided (Full UK driving licence required)

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation of new fire doors to meet current safety standards

• Upgrading and repairing existing fire doors and frames

• Fitting of electrical enclosures and fire-rated plasterboard

• Undertaking fire stopping works in accordance with regulations

• Ensuring compliance with British Standards related to fire safety

• Maintaining high-quality workmanship and documentation

• Liaising with tenants and stakeholders to ensure strong customer relationships

• Keeping accurate records and performing minor administrative tasks as required

Requirements:

• Proven experience in fire door installation and maintenance

• In-depth knowledge of fire door components and fire stopping practices

• Understanding of relevant British Standards

• Valid Full UK Driving Licence

• Innovative, solution-focused mindset

• Excellent attention to detail and quality control

• Strong communication and customer service skills
