Role: FET Electrician
Location: Reading/Thames Valley
Salary: £36,000 - £39,000 p/a + overtime + company vehicle + fuel card

Are you an experienced FET Electrician looking for your next challenge? My client, a contractor on the Thames Water framework, is looking for a qualified and highly skilled FET Electrician to join their Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation Department.
 
Reporting to the assigned Project Manager, the successful candidate will hold a technical role within the company, carrying out electrical inspection, testing and maintenance on clean and wastewater sites in the Thames Valley region.
 
Your role will involve:
·Carrying out electrical test and inspection on water treatment sites.
·Carrying out electrical remedial works to BS7671.
·Ensuring that any unsafe electrical installations are managed safely and professionally in order to minimise risk to staff and the establishment, identifying the problem and taking remedial action as required.
·Completing all relevant testing paperwork to a high standard.
·Carrying out installation, service, and repair to variety of low voltage electrical control systems.
·Occasionally you may be asked to be in charge of a small team of engineers, therefore you should be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of Health & Safety issues and leadership skills.
·Providing written technical reports and other documentation as required by senior engineering professionals.
·All electricians should be PC literate and be able to demonstrate a basic background in IT skills.


Required Skills:
·Full electrical apprenticeship or qualifications
·18th Edition Wiring regulations
·Testing Qualifications
·ECS Gold Card
·Full UK Driver's License
·2391/2395/2394 Testing Qualifications
·Ability to organise and manage time effectively
·Good written and verbal communication skills
·A high level of PC Skills
·Ability to work well alone as well as in a team.
·Water industry experience preferred but not essential
