Role: EV Charger Installer
Salary: Up to £43k dependent on skillset and qualifications
Location: Southern England
Type: Permanent / Full-time

Are you an Electrical Engineer ready to power the next wave of transportation? Carrington West are delighted to be helping our client, a forward-thinking Renewables and Utilities contractor involved in installing cutting-edge EV charging infrastructure. They are looking for an ambitious Electrical Engineer with prior experience of EV Charger and renewables technology installation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the installation, and maintenance of EV charging stations for a variety of settings, including commercial spaces, residential areas, and public locations. Ensure that installations comply with industry standards and safety regulations
  • Use your electrical engineering expertise to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to charging infrastructure. Stay informed about the latest advancements in EV charging technology to implement efficient and future-proof solutions.
  • Conduct thorough site assessments to determine optimal locations for charging stations, considering electrical capacity, infrastructure requirements, and user accessibility. Collaborate with clients to tailor solutions that meet their specific needs.
  • Work on the installation of other renewables technology on occasion, including Solar PV and Air / Ground Source Heat Pumps.

Qualifications:

  • Electrical qualification - 18th edition
  • 2391 - testing and inspection
  • Previous experience in EV charger installations or a related electrical engineering role
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
