My client is a global specialist in highways construction and has been involved in large scale UK and international construction projects within the highways, airfields and marine sectors, offering full project management from design and concept through to construction and maintenance.
 
The successful candidate will join the operations team based in Birmingham on a hybrid working basis with 2 days in the office. You will be working closely with the Senior Estimator in the preparation of tenders and works opportunities, as well as developing long-term relationships with operational and commercial teams, suppliers, supply chain and other partner organisations to maximise all potential business leads.
 
You will assess tender opportunities using risk matrix and analyse all subcontract and supplier packages to build up accurate and effective project prices.
 
 
The candidate:
 
I am looking to speak with experienced Estimators who have strong civil engineering knowledge and ideally highways experience.
In addition, the successful candidate will be based within a sensible commute of Birmingham or Leeds, and will:
 
·Be educated to degree level (or equivalent)
·Be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of NEC form of contract and their impact on tender price
·Have working knowledge of Causeway or similar estimating software
·Have an understanding of methods of measurement.
 
 
The package:
·Salary up to £60,000 per annum
·Company car allowance or a company car with a fuel card (£490pcm)
