An exciting opportunity awaits you as an Environmental Manager for a Major Highways project in Carlisle!


About the Project: Join a dynamic team dedicated to enhancing transportation infrastructure in Carlisle. This major highways project aims to improve connectivity while prioritizing environmental sustainability. Your role will be instrumental in ensuring that the project adheres to environmental regulations and best practices, minimizing ecological impact while maximizing community benefits.


Responsibilities: 
·Develop and implement environmental management plans in accordance with project requirements and regulatory standards.
·Conduct environmental assessments and impact studies to identify potential risks and mitigation measures.
·Collaborate closely with project stakeholders, including engineers, contractors, and regulatory agencies, to address environmental concerns and ensure compliance.
·Provide guidance and support to project teams on environmental policies, procedures, and best practices.
·Monitor and evaluate environmental performance throughout the project lifecycle, recommending improvements as needed.

Requirements:
·Previous experience in environmental management within civils and infrastructure projects, preferably with a focus on highways.
·Strong understanding of environmental regulations, standards, and permitting processes.
·Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
·Proven track record of managing environmental aspects of complex projects, demonstrating attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
