Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Engagement Consultant to join a leading consultancy that delivers planning, design, highways and traffic engineering, landscape architecture and engagement services.
 
The role requires a strong understanding of the requirements for developing communications, consultation and engagement strategies. Ability to write engaging copy with strong written skills, excellent time management and the ability to work collaboratively within a team, seeking technical input from other disciplines to create fully integrated solutions.
 
You will work alongside the Senior Engagement Consultants to develop and implement effective engagement plans for clients, encouraging buy-in from a range of stakeholders.
 
The role
·Drafting content for a number of channels including leaflets, web and social media
·Creating web pages and surveys for clients (don't worry we provide training)
·Supporting at events such as workshops and drop-in sessions (including logistics and group facilitation)
·Face-to-face engagement with residents, businesses and stakeholder groups to encourage scheme buy-in and gather feedback
·Ensuring that client brand guidelines are followed in content and design
·Liaising with printers, design companies and other third parties
·Responding to stakeholders' queries
·Ensuring that projects and actions are delivered on time
 
 
The ideal candidate
·Ideally have upwards of 2 years experience working in either a consultation, engagement or communications environment
·Be able to draft engaging content for a variety of channels
·Be extremely organised and adaptable to changing priorities and deadlines
·Enthusiastic and can-do attitude
·Excellent written and verbal skills
·Ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues
·Experience using Photoshop, InDesign and GIS (not essential)
