Our client is a local authority in South London. This role sits within their property division.  
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Energy & Utilities Manager with Procurement Experience to oversee our energy procurement activities and manage our energy and utility programs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing energy procurement strategies, negotiating energy contracts, managing utility accounts, and overseeing our energy and utility programs to ensure optimal efficiency and sustainability.
Responsibilities:
·Develop and implement energy procurement strategies that minimize cost and maximize efficiency.
·Negotiate energy contracts with suppliers to ensure favorable terms and conditions.
·Manage utility accounts, including analyzing usage data and identifying areas for optimization.
·Oversee energy and utility programs, including demand response and energy efficiency initiatives.
·Develop and maintain relationships with energy suppliers and utility providers.
·Ensure compliance with energy and utility regulations and standards.
·Develop and maintain energy and utility budgets.
·Provide leadership and guidance to energy and utility teams.
·Analyze and report on energy and utility usage and cost data to senior management.
·Keep abreast of developments and trends in the energy and utilities industry.
Requirements:
·Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
·5+ years of experience in energy procurement and utilities management.
·Demonstrated experience in negotiating energy contracts.
·In-depth knowledge of energy and utility regulations and standards.
·Strong analytical skills and the ability to analyze complex data.
·Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
·Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
·Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
·Strong leadership and management skills.
