Role: Electrician (Water Sites)
Location: Nottingham/Midlands
Salary: £33,000 - £38,000 p/a + overtime + company vehicle + fuel card
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
 
Are you an experienced Electrician looking for your next challenge? My client is looking for a qualified and highly skilled FET Electrician to join their Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation Department.
 
Reporting to the assigned Project Manager, the successful candidate will hold a technical role within the company, carrying out electrical inspection, testing and maintenance on clean and wastewater sites in the Midlands region.
 
Your role will involve:
·Ensuring that all Health & Safety processes and procedures are followed.
·Carrying out electrical installation work to BS7671.
·Carrying out installation, service and repair to a variety of low voltage electrical control systems.
·Carrying out installation, replacement, and modifications to various Telemetry based systems.
·Carrying out installation and commissioning of a variety of instrumentation systems, including pressure, level, temperature, flow & actuated knife gate valves.
·Conducting planned preventative maintenance and calibration of instruments on the company's product range.
·Fault findings in control panels with/without electrical schematics.
·MCC/control panel modifications.
·Providing written technical reports and other documentation as required by senior engineering professionals.
·Being capable of carrying out test and inspection of electrical installation and providing satisfactory documentation as required by the company's nominated certificating body (NICEIC, ECA etc.)
·Staying away is required for further afield sites. Accommodation + food fully expensed.


Required Skills:
·Electrically Qualified
·18th Edition Wiring regulations qualification
·2391/ 2394/2395 Test and Inspection     
·Ability to organise and manage time effectively
·Good written and verbal communication skills
·Good level of PC Skills
·Ability to work well alone as well as in a team.
 
Desirable:
·Previous experience on Telemetry Units 
·Understanding of Water Industry Control Systems and processes
