Are you an experienced Electrician with experience in an industrial setting? Are you looking for your next challenge with a leading principal contractor?
 
My client, a Tier 1 contractor attached to multiple water frameworks across the UK, is looking for multiple field-based electricians to join their Electrical & Mechanical teams in the South West - locations include Bristol & Avonmouth.
 
Reporting to the Installation Manager, you will be responsible for the Electrical installation/maintenance of industrial equipment, plant and associated ancillary materials on Flood Defences, Water Treatment, Wastewater Treatment, Pumping Stations, Flood Defence Structures and Chemical Dosing Systems.
 
It should be noted that this role will require the successful applicant to participate in an 'on-call' rota to provide emergency breakdown attendance and may require the successful applicant to stay away from home from time to time to work on projects (fully expensed).
 
Your role will involve:
·Responsibility for the Health & Safety of yourself & others.
·Carrying out installations & maintenance to the required standard and within the required time frame.
·Completing site documentation as required.
·Red-lining on site 'Issued for Construction' drawings, marking them 'As-Built'.
·Innovating - providing suggestions and ideas to the Site Supervisor/Manager for improved delivery.
·Checking that the goods delivered to site are supplied as per order.
·Identifying changes to the works information and reporting to the Site Supervisor / Manager
·Emergency 'call out' fault finding and diagnostics.
·Responsible for the Health & Safety of themselves & others
·Carrying out installations & maintenance to the required standard and within the required time frame.
 
Required Skills:
·Industrial electrical installation/maintenance background.
·An industry applicable ONC/NVQ/City & Guilds
·Demonstrable experience of working within the water and/or wastewater and general industries.
·Testing & Inspection qualifications are an advantage but not a necessity.
·Knowledge and understanding of electrical drawings and schematics.
·18th Edition wiring regulations.
·Experience on installation of SWA, Tray, Trunking, Plastic Conduit etc.
·Knowledge of instrumentation used in the water/general industry.
·ECS, SSSTS, Confined Space Training, EUSR (Clean Water Hygiene).
