Role: Electrical Foreman/Supervisor
Location : Darlington +surrounding areas
Rate : £18.70 per hour
Duration: 12months+
Hours: Monday to Friday (Full time)
Our clients are looking for a Electrical Foreman/Supervisor to join their expanding team in Darlington with the Ability to travel nationwide (with enhanced rates and allowance)
 
Responsibilities:
·Have knowledge of the most economical and effective layout of installations together with the ability to achieve a high level of productivity in the work which you control.
·Set out jobs from drawings and specifications and requisition the necessary installation materials in a timely manner in order to progress work.
·Work to programmes for production.
·Plan, assign and schedule the work of electrical installation team.
·Ensure work outside the scope is reported to management as a change and agreed accordingly.
·Accept responsibility for the proper completion of contracts.
·Co-ordinate with clients and site personnel
·Manage and support site labour and understand their needs for training and development.
·Advise senior management of any training requirements that may become necessary.
·Keep senior management informed of the levels of Health & Safety which may affect Sheers personnel both on and off site.
·Maintain records and reports to enable the Engineer to comply with management reports.
·Conduct periodic inspections and gives on-site supervision over hazardous or unusual work assignments.
·Ensure installation records are kept up to date.
·Make requests for labour in time to match programme progress.
·Enforces safety regulations, rules and working conditions.
·Undertaking commissioning duties as and when required
·Be aware of the company Health & Safety regulations for working on sites.
·Undertake training as compliant with the Company training matrix.
·Carry out method statements/risk assessments for submission as Sheers procedures.
·Comply with management procedures as and when issued Any other reasonable unreferenced duties that may arise which are in line with the level of skill requirement.
·Have a good knowledge of the NICIEC regulations and able to complete the relevant paperwork for certification.  
 
Skills and Experience:
·City and Guilds 2382 18th Edition
·City and Guilds 2391 or above
·NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or approved equivalent
·5 years' experience as an approved Electrician including 3 consecutive years electrical installation work supervisory experience.
·Conversant with prescribed guidance material and Electricity at Work Regulations
·Ability to supervise the work of skilled workers. 
·Skills in communicating and co-ordinating trainees, clients and sub-contractors
·Ability to solve practical problems
