Are you an experienced Drainage Engineer looking of a new challenge?
 
Our client is looking for a Drainage Engineer to join their team. The Drainage Engineer will be responsible for identifying, designing and delivering schemes aimed at improving existing drainage assets and addressing high frequency flooding locations across the North West.
 
 
Responsibilities and Activities:
 
·Maintain relevant strategies and databases used to identify and prioritise drainage issues.
 
·Carry out investigations of problems identified by the Inspectors, Transport Scotland, and other parties.
 
·Produce reports detailing the findings of investigations.
 
·Design and deliver drainage improvements schemes and new build schemes aimed at alleviating high frequency flooding.
 
·Planning, programming, and delivering projects on time and within budget.
 
·Undertaking and preparing designs in accordance with the DMRB & SHW.
 
·Preparing and delivering operations in compliance with the CDM Regulation 2015
 
·Preparation and management of scheme and site files.
 
·Management and supervision of supply chain contractors.
 
·Management of health and safety requirements for specified schemes.
 
·Preparation of statements of intent and construction bids.
 
·Preparation of detailed design drawings
 
·Understand traffic management requirements, construction methods, materials and works programming.
 
·Checking & approving designs
 
·Assisting in the development of the wider programmes & treatment options
 
·Mentoring and developing Graduates & Technicians
 
·Liaison with stakeholders.
 
·Supervision of site operations
 
·Inspection & measurement of completed works.
 
·Comply with all company policies and procedures.
 
 
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
 
·Working knowledge of Contract Control and Management System.
 
·Knowledge of current design standards.
 
·Knowledge of temporary traffic management requirements.
 
·Ability to comply with relevant Health and Safety legislation.
 
·Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages and AutoCAD.
 
·Ability to produce innovative solutions.
 
·Ability to work to tight deadlines and work under pressure.
 
·Ability to work effectively in a team.
 
·Good communication skills.
 
·Ability to solve problems.
 
·Capable of self-management and self-motivation.
 
·A full approved UK driving licence.
