Job description

Our client are a large Infrastructure company, supporting the build and maintenance in several key areas of the UK's key infrastructure projects. This includes projects in Construction, Rail, Utilities and Highways. We are working with their Utilities Division, which specialises in the Gas, Telecoms, Power and Water markets. They are a leading partner to several companies providing Utilities to homes and businesses across the country.
 
As part of our clients growing business, they have a new project, working in the Power Sector for a Development Project Manager. This is a great opportunity for an experienced PM, who has worked on Pre-Construction and/or Construction projects, ideally relating to the Power industry. Working in a group dynamic, this opportunity allows you to be part of a multimillion pound setting. Leading on several projects within the construction side of the Power Industry.
 
The opportunity is based in Maidstone, working on a contract basis with the ideal situation being a chance to move to a permanent role following that. You will be managing a team of project managers, who all have their own projects within your workload. You will be overseeing the projects from initial Design Concepts, through to full pre-construction and costing and then to construction.
 
Working in the Southern office, you will be responsible for all designs and Development, as well as costing and pricing of the works. Bringing in support from partner companies and sub contractors to understand the full requirements of the project and identifying the cost of those. Using your management skills to ensure the team are effective and deliver high quality ideas for you to present to the client.
 
 
Requirements:
·Civil or Electrical Engineering Degree
·3 years + Project Management Experience
·Team Management Experience
·Previous Presentation Experience
·Ability to engage with the client and stakeholders
·Good MS Office skills
·Experience in Pre-construction is essential
·A passionate and determined personality
·Able to overcome obstacles in planning, design and costing
