Design Project Manager - Peterborough
 
Would you like to work for an award winning consultancy who work collaboratively with clients to deliver sustain and innovative solutions across the built environment and major infrastructure? My client have 29 years experience across the engineers, construction and asset management landscape. The team offers multidisciplinary solutions within key disciplines: Civil and Structural Engineers, Architecture, BIM Consultancy, Commercial and Risk Management, Digital Capture, mechanical and electrical and building services design.
 
Due to continued growth the team are seeking a highly skilled permanent project / design manager (or Senior PM/DM) to join their Peterborough team.  
 
Details
·Role: Project / Design Manager (or Senior PM/DM)
·Purpose: To manage all aspects of the design process for a wide variety of exciting highway, railway, bridge and buildings projects from planning application through to project completion.
·Permanent
·Indicative salary: £40k-£60k depending on experience and qualifications.
·40hrs/week
·Location: Lincoln/Peterborough
·Hybrid home-office working

Outline Requirements
·Minimum 5 years' proven experience in a design management role demonstrating successful leadership and project management in a similar multi-disciplinary engineering environment.
·Relevant engineering qualification (HNC/Level 4 or higher)
·Preferably a member of a relevant association/institution, e.g. APM, ICE.
·Broad range of engineering understanding
·Experienced in developing project timelines, assigning tasks, and monitoring progress to ensure milestones are met.
·Budget management experience ensuring projects are delivered within budget constraints
·Understanding of health & safety and CDM regulations
·Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
·Primavera P6 experience desired but not essential
·NEC Contract experience desired but not essential
 
Outline Role Description
·Control the design process, from planning application through to project completion
·Manage design team workloads and the planning of work packages
·Manage the design scope, quality and project timelines to achieve project milestones
·Set up and manage drawing issue registers and work package submissions
·Track project deliverables against the design programme/schedules
·Ensure design programmes/schedules are kept up to date.
·Ensure design teams prepare work packages in accordance with Employers Requirements
·Proactively manage project risks and opportunities
·Quality control and ensuring compliance with ISO accreditation to maintain business credentials
·Define project scope and assist in production of tender documentation
