We are looking for a regional depot manage to join an exciting young company in the local depot. This is a great opportunity to be part of a relatively new yard and bring your own expertise. You will be looking after a number of staff who specialise in telecoms depot duties.
 
The role is a 3 month fixed term contract, paying equivalent to £45,000 per annum.
 
As part of the regional management team yo will be responsible for the local telecoms depot. You will be there to support the fibre builds and installation by ensuring vehicles, plant, equipment and materials are ready for field staff. You will manage a workshop, yard and warehouse facility, managing small team of staff providing fleet and materials.
 
The role:
 
·Managing stock and procurement strategy of materials
·Equipment vehicle and stock ordering
·Ensure staff have branded PPE and clothing
·Strategic supplier management
·Warehouse team management
·Ensure plant and material required are ready for delivery
·Manage repair and maintenance of vehicle and plant
·Ensure materials are delivered to the warehouse on time
·Ensure vans are clean and th welfare of drivers is compliant
·Manage depot staff
 
 
 
Requirements:
 
·Experience working as a depot manager
·Experience within Construction / Telecoms  (desirable)
·Health and Safety awareness  
·CPCS, Forklift license (desirable)
·Good management skills
·Good communication skills
·Highly organised
·UK drivers license (clean)
 
 
 
 
 
AWhat we need you to have.... 
·Experience as a Depot Manager preferably gained within the construction/plant operations industry, responsible for managing fuel stores and working within confined spaces
·Health & Safety awareness to ensure that the welfare of all staff, visitors and contractors is ensured while they are at the Depot 
·Operational understanding of the utilities sector, in particular street-works excavation and reinstatement 
·CPCS qualification and Fork Lift Truck licence would be an advantage 
·A strong manager of people, as it will be the Depot Manager's responsibility to supervise a team of staff, drivers, operators and associated employees while they are on the premises of the Depot
·Sound commercial awareness and judgement and ability to prioritise according to the demands of the depot
·Clean UK driving licence
