Our client are a large infrastructure group, working across the UK on several major infrastructure projects, redeveloping roads, Utilities, property and machinery. They are one of the UK's largest built environment companies and they are looking for someone to join their Fleet and Hire company. The fleet and hire side of the group services both the internal businesses in the group and local business. Offering vehicles, plant and machinery.
 
 
The team are currently looking to recruit a Data Analyst due to a significantly increased short to medium term analytical project.  This role is a 3 month fixed-term contract based in Castleford, West Yorkshire.
 
Plant & Fleet Solutions support our front line operations by providing compliant, innovative and fit-for-purpose vehicles, plant and equipment, whilst reviewing new market developments and products that help meet our Safety, Sustainability and Operational Efficiency Objectives.
 
We currently provide a comprehensive fleet of over 6,500 trucks, vans and cars, together with over 15,000 items of general plant and specialist utilities equipment from our Regional Supply Centres.
 
As a Data Analyst your duties and responsibilities will be:
·Produce a monthly sales invoice for a new acquisition (c6,000 lines of data) and reconcile back to previous data submissions.
·Perform a historic reconciliation of vehicle costs since April (by vehicle type) to the previous data set, and restate the values and missing costs.
·Adhoc analysis requirements - hire operations and services operations (combined)
·Supply chain reconciliation with business systems
·Supply chain data management and onward reporting - expenditure, revenues, service and compliance
Skills and Knowledge Requirements:
·Experience within an analytical function is essential
·Educated to degree level in a numerical field is desirable
·Advanced level of Microsoft Excel is key, for data extraction and manipulation
·Knowledge of plant and fleet is desirable
·Tableau/PowerBI experience is desirable
·Effective communication skills
·Present solutions to data challenges
·Able to build strong and sustainable customer relationships
·Strong analytics mind-set
·Organised and forward thinking
