Job description

Our client a leading utilities contractor currently have a position available for a Commissioning Team Leader working on their Mains and Resilience contract.
 
You will be starting on a contract basis where you will be paid up to £312 per day via an Umbrella company.
 
The ideal person will plan, oversee, and carry out commissioning activities across  sites throughout the construction and commissioning period. 
 
You will be responsible for the assigned commissioning team on site and the safe delivery of pressure testing and disinfection activities on projects.

Key responsibilities include:

·Complete relevant paper works associated with commissioning activities. 
·Brief team on RAMS, deliver Toolbox Talks to team, and carry out daily task sheets.
·Provide commissioning support to construction site staff.
·Plan and execute commissioning activities on site.
·Work with Inspection Test Plan and ensure Quality Control in accordance with the water industry standards and specifications.
·Carry out inspections and observe commissioning activities on site.
·Maintain a presence at work activity locations of sub-contractors and staff.
·Manage and control the use of commissioning equipment.
·Liaise with Scottish Water and another stake holder.
·Liaise with and supervise sub-contractors commissioning activities.
·Produce Commissioning Method Statements and Risk Assessments
·Follow programmed works and inform site manager of deviations.
·Undertake record keeping and equipment checks.
·Provide technical advice to site on commissioning matters.
·Prepare site reports on commissioning activities.
