Are you a qualified Commercial Manager with a proven background of delivering within the railway industry?

Do you have experience in administering NEC 3 and 4 contracts, and Network Rail forms of contract?

My client is an innovative and fast-growing railway contractor with an excellent reputation nationwide. Due to company growth, they are recruiting a knowledgeable Commercial Manager to oversee a small team and support the delivery of railway projects.

This would suit an individual who has successful experience as a Commercial Manager, managing the commercial function 'cradle to grave'.

Location: Doncaster
Hours: 40 per week, flexible WFH
Salary: £70,000 - £80,000 P/A

Responsibilities:

  • Provide ongoing support to the senior management team whilst leading a small team of Quantity Surveyors and Buyers.
  • Build and maintain established working relationships with external stakeholders, including legal partners, clients and suppliers.
  • Support cost management, trending estimating and forecasting to the project.
  • Evaluate cost performance data and provide relevant input for monthly performance reviews.
  • Support the delivery of projects providing pre-award, procurement and post-award contract administration support.
  • Monitoring compliance with contract obligations and driving value from the supply chain.
  • Develop and deliver commercial training


Requirements:

  • 5 years Commercial Management experience within the civil engineering or construction industry.
  • Proven experience in administering NEC 3 and 4 contracts, and Network Rail forms of contract
  • Excellent relationship building and management skills.
  • Great negotiating skills with the ability to secure required outcomes.
