Civil 3D Technician

our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Civil 3D Technician to join their multidisciplinary team working on innovative transport, urban design, and infrastructure projects in London. This role is ideal for a technician who is proficient in Autodesk Civil 3D and passionate about contributing to the improvement of urban environments through high-quality design and drafting.
Key Responsibilities:
·Produce detailed 2D and 3D drawings and models using Autodesk Civil 3D, including roads, drainage, utilities, and public realm schemes.
·Support the design team with the preparation of concept layouts, detailed design drawings, and construction documentation.
·Assist in the development and maintenance of design standards, drawing templates, and Civil 3D styles.
·Collaborate with engineers, transport planners, and landscape architects to deliver integrated designs.
·Work on a range of schemes including active travel projects, public realm improvements, traffic engineering layouts, and highway infrastructure.
Requirements:
·Proven experience using Autodesk Civil 3D in a professional environment.
·Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, particularly within transport and infrastructure sectors.
·Experience in preparing technical drawings for planning, detailed design, and construction phases.
·Knowledge of UK design standards and guidance such as DMRB, Manual for Streets, and SuDS.
·Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise work, and meet deadlines.
·Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
·Relevant qualification in civil engineering, CAD, or a related field (HNC/HND or equivalent).
