Job Vacancy: CAD Technician (Highways / Traffic)

Contract: Initial 6-month

Rate: £25-£30 per hour
 
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced CAD Technician to support the delivery of active travel and highways schemes across Bristol. Projects range from pedestrian and cycle route upgrades to road widening and junction enhancement schemes.
 
Key Responsibilities:
·Produce detailed and accurate CAD drawings to support highways and traffic schemes, including junction layouts, general arrangements, drainage, lighting, and traffic signal drawings.
·Prepare and update construction information in line with project requirements.
·Support engineers with Health & Safety documentation in accordance with CDM Regulations.
·Incorporate design changes following technical reviews, audits, and consultations.
·Work collaboratively with engineers and project teams to support programme delivery.
What We're Looking For:
·Proven experience working as a CAD Technician within highways or traffic engineering.
·Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and highways design standards such as DMRB and TSRGD.
·Experience supporting schemes through design and construction phases.
·Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple drawing packages simultaneously.
·Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
