Are you a CAD Technician with experience working on highway schemes?

Our client is an ambitious company who are seeking a CAD Technician with experience in highway maintenance and improvements to join them on a contract basis, initially for 3 months.
 
Your key responsibilities:
 
·To prepare or assist in the preparation of technical design drawings/models and contract documents, to ensure the implementation of highway projects and improvements within published programmes and budgets.
·To assist with the collection, assessment and impartment of information that is essential to the successful scheme preparation and implementation process to include liaison with outside bodies and contractors
·To prepare or assist in the preparation of estimates for the purpose of budget assessment and monitoring
·Support the delivery of the business' Sustainability activities
·Knowledge and application of CDM and H&S legislation and experience identifying hazards on drawings.
·To liaise with relevant bodies (i.e. contractors, statutory undertakers etc.) and visit site to assist in providing solutions to construction issues.
 
What is required?
 
·As the successful candidate, you will be a proficient CAD user, with experience in highway schemes and have an NVQ Level 4 in Civil Engineering (or equivalent) or working towards this.
