Associate Town Planner
Bristol | Hybrid Working

A leading multidisciplinary consultancy is seeking an experienced Associate Town Planner to join its growing planning team in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior-level planner to take on a leadership role within a dynamic and collaborative environment, contributing to the delivery of complex and high-impact projects across the South West and beyond. Experience with NSIP's is desired.

The Role
As an Associate Town Planner, you will play a key role in leading planning workstreams across a diverse portfolio of projects, including major infrastructure, regeneration schemes, and strategic developments. Working closely with colleagues across planning, environmental, engineering, and design disciplines, you will help shape sustainable and deliverable outcomes for clients.

You will also contribute to the ongoing growth of the team through business development, mentoring junior staff, and supporting the delivery of high-quality planning services.

Key Responsibilities
·Lead planning input on a range of complex infrastructure and development projects
·Manage multiple assignments, ensuring delivery to programme and budget
·Provide strategic planning advice to clients and stakeholders
·Support and lead bid submissions, tenders, and framework opportunities
·Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated project solutions
·Mentor and support junior team members, contributing to team development
·Build and maintain strong client relationships to support repeat business and growth

About You
·Degree qualified in Town Planning or a related discipline
·MRTPI qualified (or working towards chartership)
·Strong experience in infrastructure and/or large-scale development projects
·Working knowledge of Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA)
·Good understanding of UK planning policy and strategic planning frameworks
·Familiarity with consenting regimes such as TCPA, DCO, TWAO or similar
·Confident communicator with the ability to engage effectively with clients and stakeholders
