Associate Director Transport Planner - Sheffield
Associate Director Transport Planner, Lead Transport Projects in Sheffield
You will be stepping into a senior, influential position where your expertise as an Associate Director Transport Planner directly shapes major development projects across the UK. My client is a well-established, planning-led, employee-owned consultancy providing multidisciplinary advice across the development sector. Their Transport & Infrastructure team supports development proposals nationwide, working closely with planning, masterplanning and urban design professionals.
As an Associate Director Transport Planner, you will be leading and delivering complex transport planning projects for both public and private sector clients.
You will be responsible for:
·Delivering site appraisals and supporting site promotion work
·Preparing and reviewing Transport Assessments and Transport Statements
·Developing Travel Plans and sustainable mobility strategies
·Undertaking junction and network modelling
·Supporting development planning and infrastructure planning work
·Managing data analysis, forecasting and technical reporting
·Leading stakeholder engagement and maintaining strong client relationships
·Managing workloads, priorities and project delivery on a day-to-day basis
To succeed as an Associate Director Transport Planner, you will bring:
·Proven experience delivering transport planning projects at a senior level
·Strong report writing and communication skills
·Confidence managing clients and stakeholder relationships
·Experience using ARCADY / PICADY, TRICS, TEMPro and AutoCAD
·The motivation to uphold high technical standards and mentor others
You will receive a salary of £60,000 - £70,000 dependent on experience, alongside an excellent benefits package including private healthcare, life insurance, pension with salary sacrifice, cycle to work scheme, professional subscription support and enhanced maternity benefits.
You will be based in Sheffield, working on a hybrid basis with agreed core office days. You will benefit from structured CPD, chartership support (CIHT, CILT or TPS), regular reviews and clear progression at Associate Director level and beyond.
