About the company
 
The company have been servicing their extensive client base for over 40 years, establishing their multidisciplinary engineering services in the UK. Covering a variety of buildings and infrastructure sectors, they are looking to appoint an Associate Director to complement their structural design team within their buildings division.
 
 
Role & Responsibilities
 
The role would suit a successful, experienced, and highly motivated structural engineering Associate Director to co-lead a team of structural engineers and technicians at their Hertfordshire office.  As an Associate Director, you will be expected to help lead the structural engineering team and assist with the management of engineers on numerous projects up to £30m in value.
 
 
The scope of work is extremely varied, so past exposure to a variety of different building sectors is beneficial. This includes, but is not limited to Commercial, Education, Industrial, Residential, Retail, Sport & Leisure, Heritage and Energy.

 
Requirements:
 
·BEng/MSc (or equivalent) Civil/Structural Engineering
·CEng status with IStructE or ICE
·Min 7 years' experience
·Experience of managing a design team
·Ability to train and mentor more junior members of the team
·Experience of whole project process from fee proposals and concept design to project completion
·Strong technical ability with in-depth experience of designing in all main materials
·Client facing with business development experience
·Excellent commercial awareness and business acumen
