Job description

Title: Asphalt Surfacing Supervisor
Location: Worcestershire
Duration: Long-term contract (inside IR35)
We are seeking an experienced Asphalt Surfacing Supervisor to join our team on a long-term contract in Worcestershire. As a Supervisor, you will be responsible for planning and organising resources, including labour and plant, to achieve maximum efficiency and output in a safe manner. You will also be responsible for ensuring that Health and Safety standards are adhered to and that our clients and employees have a positive perception of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
·Direct individual foremen, plan future workload to meet the targets of the contract plan, and monitor production.
·Coordinate and supervise direct labour and subcontractors on a day-to-day basis.
·Place timely and accurate orders for materials and plant to ensure efficient production while balancing cost against client value and adherence to standards.
·Manage and allocate resources, including plant, equipment, and vehicles.
·Complete daily diaries and submit them at the end of each visit. This should include copies of dimensions, supply problems, and waiting times.
·Report observations and near-hits and assist with incident investigation and root cause analysis to ensure that corrective actions are completed and closed out.
·Complete a site-specific risk assessment to ensure that appropriate control measures are implemented to complete the work safely.
·Ensure that all sweeper/sprayer checks are completed and submitted via Reflow.
·Deliver toolbox talks and briefings and return confirmations via Reflow.
·Communicate with customers and Contract Management daily to ensure that the project is completed within the timeline.
Requirements:
·Previous experience as an Asphalt Surfacing Supervisor.
·Excellent organisational skills.
·Ability to manage resources, including labour and plant.
·Good communication skills.
·Understanding of Health and Safety standards.
·Ability to complete site-specific risk assessments.
·Experience of managing subcontractors.
