The London and Birmingham Development Planning transport team is looking for an enthusiastic Transport Planner to join them. In this role you would undertake the production of transport-related technical studies associated with the planning and delivery of new developments. You will need to be technically excellent in undertaking analysis of the potential transport impact across various transport modes of development-related projects and be able to work on several projects simultaneously.
 
The Development Planning team focuses on providing transport and highways support to clients through the planning process. Typical projects may include:
·Large residential-led mixed use schemes;
·Retail facilities;
·Education facilities;
·City centre regeneration schemes.
 
Key Requirements of the Role:
·Input into and production of transport-related technical studies including Transport Assessments/ Statements, Travel Plans, Delivery and Service Plans, Construction Logistics Plans;
·Managing smaller transport projects, ensuring outputs are delivered on time and within agreed budget;
·Knowledge of junction modelling programs, such as Transyt, JUNCTIONS, VISSIM and LINSIG;
·Knowledge of the TRICS database;
·Possess basic CAD/ GIS skills;
·Experience in interrogating CENSUS data on matters relating to transport.
