An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Structures Detailer to join our client's expanding offices in Central East London. Due to ongoing success in the Engineering sectors and some major client wins these offices will look to grow continuously throughout 2021.

The role:
·Responsible to the Associate Structures Engineer for the delivery of drawings.
·Ensuring that the quality and delivery of drawings and other deliverables meet our customer's requirements.
·Manage resources for the delivery of drawings ensuring quality and timescales are met satisfactorily.
·Provide technical advice and support to other team members in project delivery
·Ensuring compliance with company Health & Safety policies and procedures.
·Ensuring compliance with company quality system and procedures.
·Liaise with clients and other Project Centre staff.
·Respond to client and customer requests and enquiries and ensuring that their needs are met
·Support professional development for other team members
·On occasions you will be required to undertake site visits with other members of the team.
 
The ideal candidate:
·Minimum of 5 years relevant experience working in a design team environment
·HNC or HND in Civil or Structural Engineering            
·Working towards Professional Qualification - Eng. Tech or I Eng. and member of a relevant professional institution (i.e. ICE or IStructE).
·Experience in the application of design standards and codes of practice relevant for detailing in reinforced concrete, steel and masonry for highway structures.
·Experience of successful operational delivery to Local Authority and private clients.
·Proactive, self-motivated and problem solver. 
·A working knowledge of Civil Engineering Design
·Ability to deliver on time whilst handling multiple projects/tasks.
·Ability to communicate at all levels with excellent oral/written/numeracy skills.
·Experienced user of AutoCAD with sound computer literacy (including experience of CAD, 3D modelling and other MS programs)
·Ability to use a BIM software packages
·Adept at working within a team environment and experience across a range of engineering structures
·Excellent organisation skills and ability to work to deadlines
·Ability to work on technical projects and maintain utilisation
·Self-motivated with good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
·Able to communicate / liaise effectively and professionally with the design team, clients and contractors
·Ability to develop capability and training of staff
·A full UK driving licence is required
