Quantity Surveyor
Location: Northampton
Reporting to: Senior Quantity Surveyor
THE ROLE
We are looking for a dedicated Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Northampton. In this role, you will oversee projects of various sizes, ensuring the preparation and maintenance of accurate budgets. You will build strong relationships with clients and internal teams to ensure projects are completed within the projected budgets.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
·Implement the company's commercial strategy effectively.
·Oversee projects of diverse sizes and scopes.
·Prepare precise budgets at tender award and update them monthly using Elite.
·Procure works to meet or exceed programme and tender budgets.
·Draft and manage sub-contract documents.
·Handle accounts for clients and subcontractors.
·Conduct weekly program, progress, and cost reviews and analyses.
·Manage change control processes.
·Identify and manage risks and opportunities.
·Monitor and report financials, coordinating closely with the project team.
·Develop and agree on project forecasts with operational teams.
·Conduct detailed commercial analyses of various outputs.
·Provide commercial support for tenders.
·Submit monthly payment applications.
·Adhere to approved work procedures.

Requirements-
·Experience in Civil Engineering Projects Proven track record of working on civil engineering projects, including infrastructure, roads, and utilities.
·Knowledge of Construction Contracts Strong understanding of various construction contracts such as NEC, JCT, and FIDIC.
·Cost Management Expertise Skilled in cost control, forecasting, and financial reporting for large-scale projects.
